Graft Poetry is pleased to announce the publications of two new titles from poets familiar to readers of Pennine Platform.
The first, of a projected new series, of Graft Poetry Pamphlets is Kong King from award-winning poet Andy Boobier. The poems in this collection are all dedicated to musicians, artist and poets whose work not only resonates with the author but whose lives have been one of struggle and often ended in self-destruction. These poems celebrate the human ability to create great works of beauty in the face of oppression and personal struggle, along with the heavy price paid.
A new book by Pauline Kirk is always a special event and this is no exception, says Carole Bromley. Graft Poetry are therefore very pleased to publish Pauline’s latest collection, Time Traveller. In this volume, Pauline – a prolific and award-winning poet, novelist, editor and literary advisor – writes about Time, how its passing affects us, and how we visualise the past and future. Bernard Jackson has called Time Traveller a ‘ground-breaking collection’ and ‘truly one for the bookshelf.’
